Why are some people demanding military action against Libya?

Is it not ironic in the extreme that the so called 'liberation' of Iraq has resulted in the deaths of over 1 million of its citizens (around a third of them killed directly by Coalition forces)? Yet people are still asking for 'humanitarian' intervention, despite the bloodbath that is Iraq. I'm not sure the good people of Libya are ready for the USA & Britain's special kind of 'liberation', especially when there are oil fields to be 'secured'
