Does anybody have experience going out with french girls? How are they different?

I am an expat living in France since last September and I met a french girl that I like a lot. We have been going out since then although not as often as I would like to. (once every 2-3 weeks). She says that coming to Paris is somewhat problematic because she lives in one of the small villages around the city (50 minutes by train). Ok, she has a boyfriend but she is not happy with the guy (i know that) and she knows that I like her, because I am too obvious and because last month I told her. But there was no response at all. (neither positive nor negative). She just asked me why and then she changed the subject although I noticed that she liked to listen that from me. Nothing much has changed since then and that is really annoying me. Normally I would receive an answer such as "ok , lets try it" or the clic "I thought that we were just friends" but in this case im totally clueless. If she doesnt want, why does she keep going out with me?
