Canker sore on the tongue?

I got this sore on my tongue a day ago & it hurts so bad that I can't talk , eat , drink , it hurts to just move my tongue . Im going to the doctor tommrow , but Im in so much pain . I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas to help ease the pain so I can eat a little & not be in so much pain ;; please and thank you .
