Got a really dumb question...but I am serious?

How can I become one of the poor and downtrodden? I could use a permanent vacation sitting in front of my big screen TV and chugging beers Think about it. What more could anyone want. I decided to hop on the Obama band wagon if someone can show me how I can effectively do this.
